Terms of service

These terms apply when you use LafiyaCare. By creating an account or making a booking you agree to them.

What LafiyaCare is

LafiyaCare is a marketplace. The doctors, nurses, pharmacies, laboratories and hospitals on it are independent professionals and businesses, and they are responsible for the care they give. LafiyaCare is not a hospital and does not practise medicine.

Emergencies

LafiyaCare is not an emergency service. If someone's life is at risk, call 112 or go to the nearest hospital immediately. An emergency request on this site is passed to a partner, and until it is accepted help is not on the way.

Your account

Give accurate information and keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You may book for a family member only with their permission.

Bookings, fees and payment

The practitioner or partner sets their fee, and it is shown before you confirm. Online payment is not yet available. Your practitioner or partner will confirm how to pay. LafiyaCare keeps a commission from completed services.

If you cannot attend, cancel as early as you can. We may review disputes between patients and providers and decide the outcome fairly.

Practitioners and partners

Providers must hold a valid licence (for example MDCN, NMCN, PCN or MLSCN), keep it current, and practise within its scope. We verify registrations but cannot guarantee clinical outcomes.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, impersonate others, harass providers or patients, or try to access data that is not yours. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability and changes

To the extent the law allows, LafiyaCare is not liable for the professional acts of independent providers. We may update these terms, and the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
